Bleached Softwood Kraft Pulp

Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft (NBSK)

NBSK is the most popular bleached softwood kraft pulp type and the second largest market pulp. It is typically obtained from softwood trees found in Nordic countries. They have long fibers and are mostly used for printing & writing paper, board, specialty papers, and tissues.

Southern Bleached Softwood Kraft Pulp (SBSK)

SBSK pulp is a type of bleached softwood kraft pulp obtained from slash pine, longleaf pine, loblolly pine, jack pine, and other trees typically found in the Southern US. It has a higher tearability level and is optimal for fluff pulp (the raw material used for products like feminine hygiene, diapers, and air-laid absorbent toweling).

Bleached Hardwood Kraft (BHK)

Northern Bleached Hardwood Kraft (NBHK)

NBHK pulp is obtained from hardwood trees such as maple, beech, ash, and birch – mostly cultivated in Nordic regions. It is used for printing and writing papers, as well as tissues.

Southern Bleached Hardwood Kraft (SBHK)

SBHK is quite similar to NBHK, and is made from hardwood trees grown predominantly in the USA. It is primarily used for printing, writing, and tissue papers.

Fluff Pulp

Fluff Pulp

Fluff pulp is obtained from spruce, pine, and eucalyptus and is a soft and highly absorbent material used for various applications such as baby diapers, sanitary pads, and incontinence pads. They are also used to manufacture food-grade absorbent pads and air laid products, which are thicker and more absorbent than paper. Fluff pulp air laid products are used in a variety of applications, including the production of dry and wet wipes, cooking paper, baby wipes, and training pants. Because of their higher tensile strength and tear resistance, air laid products made from fluff pulp are ideal for a variety of disposable absorbent applications in both the industrial and consumer markets.

Unbleached Kraft Pulp

Unbleached Kraft Pulp

Unbleached kraft pulp is typically obtained from softwood fibers and represents an ideal choice for customers who strive to reduce their carbon footprint, plastic usage and general waste. Unbleached kraft pulp is biodegradable and can be made from both virgin and recycled pulp. It is used for filter papers, hygiene papers, grease-proof papers, electrotechnical papers, transformer boards and carton boards.
